The birds on this page are at the High island rookery. The rookery is an island that is literally patrolled by alligators gliding through the water waiting to devour possums and raccoons hoping to get fresh eggs. In these first pictures, you see Snowy Egrets with the black legs and cattle egrets with the brown breeding plumage.
